Extend Your Stay / Bring Your Family:

If you would like to extend your stay, the hotel does have some availability at our special rate the weekend prior to the conference – Friday the 22nd through Sunday the 24th.  There are only a handful of rooms at this rate, so please book early. Otherwise rooms may be available but at the general Hyatt room rate.  If you would like to extend your stay after the conference ends, our special rate does not apply but rooms are still available at the general Hyatt room rate.

Many people are coming in on Saturday, playing during the day on Sunday and attending the Welcome Reception / Early Registration on Sunday evening from 4:00 - 6:00pm, and then leaving the following Thursday.

You won't want to leave early on Wednesday, with Malcolm wrapping up the week with his energizing closing keynote. The conference ends on Wednesday at 1:30 PM. That gives you a lot of time to experience San Antonio during the afternoon and see the city at night. The Riverwalk offers very good restaurants, shops and places to enjoy the nightlife.

Again, the rooms on weekends can be difficult to get, particularly at these rates. Be sure to book early if you would like to extend your stay because there are a limited number of these rooms available.

Transportation to and from the Hyatt Regency and Airport:  The Hyatt Regency is located 9 miles or 15 minutes away from the San Antonio National Airport.  You can take a taxi-cab for $20 each way or the SA Trans airport shuttle service for $24 round trip. Meeting Rooms: Our primary meeting / general session room will be located in the Regency Ballroom West and Center.  Directly on the opposite side of the U-shaped hallway is the Rio Grande Ballroom which will hold our Expo.  Both of these rooms are located on the 2nd floor B-level which is one floor up from the lobby. In the center of these 2 rooms, will be our registration / information desk. This will be the central point for the entire conference.

Stop by to ask questions – we are here to make your experience a positive and memorable one. Our break-out sessions are located on the 3rd floor A-Level.  It is very important for us to have all of our meeting space in close vicinity to one another.  It helps to form a sense of HDP community year after year by increasing our networking opportunities and affording more time together in the halls between sessions. It is also much easier on the feet!
